Speech Therapy

Speech language pathologists focus on working with a child to develop functional and age-appropriate communication skills and enabling children to effectively express their desires in various life settings. Speech-language therapy involves a wide range of areas, including sound production, articulation, oral motor control, language acquisition, cognitive skill development, and the implementation of augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) methods to meet therapy objectives. Speech therapists are also specially equipped to assist children in breastfeeding/bottle-feeding, chewing and swallowing solid foods, and any dietary constraints a child may have.
